Unitarian & Universalism

We feel the need to explain a little about the words "Unitarian" & "Universalism". Dictionary.com states that:

Unitarian:

A person who maintains that God is one being, rejecting the doctrine of the Trinity.

and

Universalism:

The doctrine of universal salvation.

We also believe in Apocatastasis:

The doctrine that Satan and all sinners will ultimately be restored to God.

We hope this helps you!

Actually such dictionary definitions are of questionable helpfulness when contemporary Unitarian*Universalism has strayed so far from its monotheistic religious heritage. These days a "Unitarian" can be a person who maintains that God is a "non-existent being", rejecting belief in God as "primitive". In fact at least one fundamentalist atheist "Humanist" U*U minister has done excatly that from his wayward U*U pulpit.

Most interesting! Perhaps you have a better way to put it? And by the way we are not affiliated with the UUA!
